“Our building project with Jon DeL Construction has been distinctly satisfying and enjoyable. The structure went up faster than any of us imagined possible at a cost that made sense. The quality of the work speaks for itself. As a property owner here in Central Texas, you want to see companies like this continue to grow. Honest, diligent men like Jon and his crew are too rare these days.

I'm grateful to have them as friends and neighbors.”

Project Overview

This 18 by 25 studio building was designed as a compact standalone workspace with durable materials and a clean exterior finish. The structure provides flexible use as a studio, storage building, or private work area while fitting naturally within a Central Texas property setting.

Location: Salado Texas

 Build Type: Studio Building

 Foundation: Concrete slab

 Footprint: 18 by 25 structure

The Client’s Goal for the Salado Studio

The homeowner wanted a simple and durable Salado studio space that could serve as a dedicated workspace separate from the main home while remaining efficient to build and maintain

Build Process

We completed all framing, exterior finishes, roofing, and window installation as part of the structural build.

Key elements of the Salado Studio build included:

  • 12 foot wall height for added interior flexibility

  • 2 by 6 wall framing spaced 16 inches on center

  • Zip sheathing on walls and roof

  • 4 over 12 roof pitch

  • Hardie board and batten siding

  • Black 26 gauge metal roof

  • Two white vinyl windows

  • One walk door provided by homeowner

  • One foot soffits around the structure

Cost and Timeline

Total Project Cost: $28,211

Build Timeline: Approximately 2 to 3 weeks depending on site conditions and scheduling

Final Result

The finished studio provides a clean and versatile space with durable exterior materials and tall interior walls that allow for multiple future uses. Builds like this are a practical way to add workspace or storage without expanding the footprint of the main home.
